The Experience: What to Expect 🤔

From the moment you arrive, you'll be immersed in the world of racing. Here’s a step-by-step look at what you can expect:

• Arrival and Check-in: You’ll be greeted by our Admin Team, sign your waiver, and receive a copy of our written briefing notes. These notes will familiarise you with the structure of the session and the correct way to drive our race cars.

• Detailed Briefing: Enjoy a tea or coffee while watching a detailed briefing video. Our Operations Manager, Dan, will introduce himself and explain the session breakdown. The key points, such as track rules and flag definitions, will be reiterated.

• Car Assignment: Drivers are assigned a car number based on height and weight. All cars are tuned to the exact same level so if you are completing the experience with friends or family and one of you is quicker, there are no excuses, they are simply the better driver!

• Pit Garage Introduction: You will then be taken to the pit garage to see, hear, and smell the action. Excitement builds as you see the race cars up close and personal.

• Meet Your Team Leader: You’ll be introduced to your car’s Team Leader, who is a racer, race team engineer, or race team mechanic. They will help you get the most from the experience.

• Race Gear: You'll get changed into full race gear, including a suit, boots, and helmet.

• Car Briefing: Dan will provide a physical briefing around one of the cars showing you how to get in and out, the controls, the 4-speed manual gearbox, and what to do in an emergency.

• Orientation Laps: Take two orientation laps in a road car with your Team Leader to familiarise yourself with the track, braking points, apexes, and pit entry/exit.

• Unleash Your Inner Racer: Unlike other Driving Experiences, once released from the pit lane, there is no instructor sat beside you. Complete your allocated laps and feel the adrenaline rush.

• Post-Experience Buzz: Be greeted by your Team Leader as you return to the pits, likely out of breath, hands shaking, and smiling from ear to ear!

 

The Coolest Part of the Experience 😲

For us, the coolest part of the experience is seeing the drivers' faces when they return to the pits, buzzing with adrenaline.

For participants, it’s likely the moment they leave the pits and accelerate onto the track. The raw feel of the cars, the vibrations, the low seating position, and the open cockpit all contribute to an unmatched sense of speed and excitement.

What to Wear 👕👖👟

Wear loose clothing or active-wear that fits comfortably under a full-length race suit. If you aren't already wearing them, please make sure you bring socks with you so that you can comfortably wear our race boots. 

Most Common Issues ⛔ 

The main issue we see is that drivers wish they had purchased more laps!

All our race cars use a 4 x speed manual gearbox so experience using a foot clutch and manual gearbox is essential.

How to Prepare ⚙

• Practice with a Manual Gearbox: If you have not driven a manual car before, practice to be prepared.

• Invite Friends and Family: Share the excitement and feeling of accomplishment with someone who knows what you've just experienced.

• Listen to Instructions: Pay close attention to all instructions and briefings.

• Bring Hydration and Snacks: While there is a cafe and vending machine on site, it’s recommended to bring your own.

Equipment Provided 🚦

All race and safety equipment is provided, but drivers are welcome to bring their own full-face helmet if they have one. 

 

Driving Top Tips 🏆

Avoid driving too hard too quickly.

Focus on the correct technique: brake hard in a straight line, turn into the corner, and apply 20-30% throttle while driving through the corner. Feed the throttle on smoothly as you exit and straighten the wheel.

If executed correctly, you can experience close to 2G of cornering forces!
